What is a Loft? |
Lofts are generally characterized by unfinished high ceilings (10 feet+), exposed ducts and pipes, and an open layout.
Two types of of Residential Lofts:
* Conversions: A conversion of a vintage factory or warehouse.
Conversions are often the most desirable in that they feature authentic details (wood beams, antique hardware).
* Newly Constructed Lofts: There are some outstanding recently finished and currently under construction loft developments in Chicago.
