Suburban Chicago Real Estate Woos New Retail

Suburban Chicago real estate may get a boost from a new Sears store in a dying Palatine, IL, plaza. The Daily Herald reports that the plaza had formerly been home to a Kmart that closed up shop, sending the entire retail complex there into a sharp decline.

The quick opening of the new Sears store may be a boom for commercial suburban Chicago real estate. Several efforts are being undertaken to explore what else can be done to revitalize and enhance this prominently located retail location. A major renovation, including a new façade, could be in the works for this piece of suburban Chicago real estate.
