Chicago Real Estate Attractive for College Students
According to the Chicago Maroon, the student newspaper at the
University of Chicago, owning is an increasingly attractive option for
local college students. Students consider investing in Chicago real estate
in order to avoid the hassles of inattentive landlords. Also, they like
the idea of gaining equity in their property as an investment.
Freshman Gabe Bugajski said: "The main point of buying the condo is to
avoid paying or wasting rent on an apartment. If the market stays strong,
then I will be able to buy the place and sell it when done for the same
price or a little more than now."
